Excel
Integration Further Increases Ease of Use and Complementary BI Value

2005 – Effective immediately, Pelyco Systems, a

availability of its new product module the SmartSpreadSheet™ for webPUBLISH™.
The product is already actively used at a variety of customer locations
including Solectron, Gillette and Continental Tires.
The Business Issue

connections are centrally managed through the SmartSpreadSheet within Excel.
Because of this, a data source connection occurs one time, and can be leveraged
by as many users as required. There is no local storage of the data at the
desktop. Once the users have made changes the modified data is reloaded and
“committed” back to the datamart. IT can easily support all the corporate users
with a fully web enabled browser application and avoid any persistent data
storage in Excel.
